Reach Up, Reach Out, Reach Our World
Welcome to FBC (First Baptist Coronado), a church in Coronado, CA. We are a growing community devoted to Jesus and the Gospel. Our existence is because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and because of this we are committed to continually learning more about the Gospel, being changed by the Gospel, & living lives that glorify God by the power of the Gospel.
Our Sunday gathering is at 10 am at 453 C Ave in Coronado, CA.
We are a group of people who desire to “reach up, reach out, and reach our world”.
This vision is driving us to develop a real and authentic faith among all who come to worship at FBC. These are not just key words and tricky phrases, but are at the heart of who we are and what we want to become. Our vision means…
Reach Up – to be the disciple of Jesus Christ that God has called us to be.
Reach Out –making more disciples through building intentional and authentic relationships and sharing our lives and our faith in real life.
Reach the World - living out our identity as a Family of Missionary Servants. We desire to engage a world that is looking for something real, spiritually authentic and relational. The answer is found in Jesus Christ.

What To Expect
New to FBC? Here’s what you can expect…
At FBC you can expect to be part of a gathering of people who love Jesus passionately, a place where the Gospel is at the center of everything we do.
We have a relaxed atmosphere when it comes to how we dress, but we are very serious about our faith and our purpose as a community that brings glory to God in all we do. A typical gathering may include a time of worship through music, a message based on Scripture from the Bible, communion, and fellowship with refreshments before and after service.
Got Kids? Check out Hang Ten!
FBC offers a service for children ages 0 – 10 (5th grade). Our children’s ministry, known as Hang Ten, provides childcare during the service for ages 0-2 and a Biblical lesson for ages 3-10. We also have a time of worship with music, prayer, snacks, and fun! Check-in begins at 9:45am for the 10am gathering. This is a safe place with incredible workers who have a heart for investing in the lives of our children.
What kind of message will I hear?
We believe that in order to best represent who God is there is no place for preaching only the “good” stuff or what’s easiest to hear. We are committed to teaching all of God’s word even if that means tackling issues that are often misrepresented or even avoided in churches today. To accomplish this, we work through one book of the Bible at a time and we will never get away from the Gospel. We see the Gospel as the center of the wheel and every other aspect working as spokes to surround and support it. Of course scriptures from all throughout the Bible are used each week to best understand the main passage because all scripture is inspired by God. Click here to listen or download previous messages.
What is the Style of Worship?
We consider worship to be an intimate time in which we desire the Spirit of God to dwell among us. Our worship time includes a band leading songs that glorify God and lead those in attendance into the presence of God. Worship involves many aspects - from our fellowship and greeting each other, singing praises and offering prayers , as well as hearing a message from the Bible, our gathering is a time of offering praise to God and responding to what God is doing in our hearts. Sometimes we worship him loud and passionately other times with softer melodies and simple words of surrender and praise.
What Should I Wear?
This is an easy one...wear what you're most comfortable wearing! Dress code is simply not our priority at FBC. Typically, the dress is casual. High heels or flip flops, God is looking at our hearts, not our attire.
